What we do

Actuarial, Reward and Analytics is all about looking at future events, and examining their probabilities and possible financial impacts. We are a market leading practice that consists of over 260 professionals who advise across all the major industries in the financial, private and public sectors. The group consists of two main areas – Insurance and Banking, and Total Reward & Benefits (Pensions). The Insurance and Banking team provides consulting services to a range of financial institutions, tackling complex and analytical problems. Deloitte Total Reward & Benefits work across all sectors, helping clients ranging from regional manufacturers to FTSE 100 multinational companies.

Your career

You’ll have the choice of joining the Insurance and Banking Team, the Capital Markets Group (as part of the Insurance and Banking Team), or the Total Reward & Benefits (Pensions) team. As an actuarial analyst at Deloitte, you will be working directly with clients on a variety of projects. These could involve designing and implementing new actuarial systems, conducting risk modelling, assessing future insurance liabilities for setting premiums, or advising clients on mergers and acquisitions.

With technology changing by the second, and security breaches ever-more common, cyber security is critical to business. We provide clients with deep technical knowledge and expertise to secure their organisation, from implementing advanced defensive technologies to trying to compromise a client’s network to identify critical vulnerabilities.

Within Cyber Technical, you’ll be streamed into either our Cyber Defence capability, which covers pen testing, incident response and threat intelligence, or our Cyber Technical Transformation capability, which covers identity and access management, security architecture, and technology design and implementation (for example, data loss prevention tools).

The Pensions Audit Centre of Excellence (PACE) sits within the Financial Services service line within Deloitte UK and works directly with clients on a large portfolio of pension scheme audits.  PACE also supports audit teams throughout the UK firm in delivering pension asset testing and providing support on some of the firm’s most prestigious UK and multinational audit clients.

As a member of the PACE team you will receive industry leading training with a focus on investments testing, and your role will include:

  • Auditing pension schemes including testing investments, pension contributions and benefit payments
  • Using engagement management software to document audit testing
  • Communicating with clients and their external service organisations and
  • Working within a dynamic team, reporting to audit managers and partners, and collaborating with specialists.
